PIPER’S CROW
I enjoyed playing with Piper’s Crow from summer 2004 to summer 2008. During my tenure we recorded the Piper’s Crow debut album, and I expanded my knowledge of the various Celtic styles. My favorite press quotes about the band is from Rick Mason of the City Pages, who wrote, “Much of Piper’s Crow’s charm is derived from the sparkling interplay between the musicians, especially the exotic bagpipes and assorted wind instruments deftly wielded by [Laura] MacKenzie and master piper Dick Hensold, while Zack Kline’s fiddle weaves devilishly amongst them and Karen Mueller helps drive the entire business on guitar and bouzouki.”

Piper’s Crow is an innovative acoustic band featuring Laura MacKenzie, Dick Hensold, and Karen Mueller. Their combined experience brings a fresh approach to Celtic music. The band specializes in traditional music from Ireland, Scotland, Galicia, Cape Breton Island, and Northumberland, artfully blended with original compositions in the traditional style.
