In the quest for keyboard shortcuts, I’ve been finding some uses for the enter key…

In Garageband, it puts you at the beginning of the tune. Same in Quicktime.

It’s also very useful in Finder because it makes you jump into to the name of the file and highlights it, so you can type a new one quick, or edit an old one more quickly. I used to have to click on the file name and wait a second, but no more.

I’ve been looking for a robot voice for my SONG BLOG and I thought the only good option I could find was at http://www.cepstral.com/demos/ which is a nice program but only free for non-commercial use.

Today, Apple posted a link to Verbalize, which allows you to type in stuff and your Mac’s built-in voices will say it. It’s very cool. I may soon have a robot announcer.
